  • 7 on / 7 off — day (7 am – 7 pm) and night (7 pm – 7 am) shifts
  • 15 patients per day — 6 admits per shift
  • Cardiovascular ICU — 95% surgical, 5% medical
  • Occasional supervision of fellows, residents, and students
  • CC fellowship required — board certified intensivists only
  • Intubation required — primary airway support service for the hospital
  • ECMO required — vent management, central/arterial line, PA catheter
  • Code response required — dialysis catheter placement, ICP management
