Night call 5pm – 7am weekdays, weekends 5pm Friday – 7am Monday
Weekend rounding: 4 – 5 floor patients, 3 – 4 NICU patients typically
One weekend per month and one night per week coverage
No complex cases — backup support available from staff surgeons
No appendectomies at night, no ECMO, no trauma, no transplant
Weekend rounding requires only few hours plus urgent cases
